Performance is what it is all about with JASPER and that includes our race products. It was a first place finish for Matt Kenseth and a second place finish for Denny Hamlin in the Bojangles Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway this past weekend.
Brad Keselowski won the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship for Penske Racing. Clint Bowyer finished second for Michael Waltrip Racing. What did these two drivers have in common? Their race cars used components built by the NASCAR Driveline Division of Jasper Engines and Transmissions. Keselowski ran a JASPER Differential in 2012, and Bowyer used a JASPER 4-Speed Transmission. Sprint Cup Series cars equipped with JASPER products accounted for 16 Wins in 2012, 72 top-five finishes and 134 top-ten finishes.
We are proud to be associated with a brand that cares about their products, services, and people to the degree JASPER does. Just announced are the 2012 JASPER "Do it Right Awards" for last year that exemplify the reasons why we feel such pride. In December 2012, six JASPER Associates were recognized by company Chairman/CEO, Doug Bawel, as winners of the annual ‘Do It Right’ Award.
JASPER has a rich 70 Year History of providing Jasper Engines and Transmissions and growing their local communities. Through this book we will trace our growth from our founding in 1942 to where we are today. We sifted through our archives and spoke with a number of Associates who have been with us for 20, 30, even 40 years to bring you interesting photos and untold stories of our people, products and culture.
The 2011 racing season is almost here. The NASCAR Driveline Division of Jasper Engines & Transmissions looks to build upon the success of the 2010 season by building transmissions and rear end differentials for some of the top teams in NASCAR.
Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Denny Hamlin, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano drove in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2010 with cars equipped with a JASPER 4-Speed Transmission, as did Michael Waltrip Racing drivers David Reutimann, Martin Truex, Jr. and Marcos Ambrose. Penske Racing drivers Kurt Busch, Brad Kesolowski and Sam Hornish, Jr. raced cars equipped with a JASPER Rear End Differential.
